Adebayo set out to prove doubters wrong. He had 32 pts and eight rebounds in the Heat’s 106-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. The Heat is now on a three-game winning streak. The following two games are against the Boston Celtics, who beat the Heat in last year’s Eastern Conference finals.
Adebayo had 38 points and 12 rebounds against the Washington Wizards on Friday. He followed hard again. Adebayo’s night was enough to overshadow the impressive games of Caleb Martin and Tyler Herro.
Martin had 20 points, nine rebounds, & four assists, while Herro had a triple-double of 11 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Herro won the league’s Sixth Man of the Year award for scoring last year, but he’s becoming a complete player.
The top-seeded Heat team in the Eastern Conference, which made the playoffs last year, seems to finally be picking up after being slowed down by injuries.
