Udonis Haslem of the Heat responds to Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett’s criticism

Haslem creates a viral post defending the Heat in response to criticism from Pierce and Garnett.

Udonis Haslem, the captain of the Miami Heat, was quick to address the most recent comments from former rivals Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, who recently claimed that the Heat’s window for a title had closed.

With his most recent Instagram post, Haslem silenced them both.

“That ass whipping you guys received back then won’t change no matter what you say!

Haslem remarked, “I know a lot about windows closing since we smashed y’all stuff and locked y’all suckas out forever ever!!!” he was alluding to the Heat’s victory over the Garnett and Pierce’s Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets in the postseason during the Big Three era. #L7 #sixgamesinyallalreadyhating

The argument was evoked again when Garnett and Pierce discussed the Heat’s need for more reliable performance from Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo to make another long run in the Eastern Conference playoffs on their podcast, Ticket & The Truth.

Pierce stated, “I don’t think they have to do it individually; I think they have to do it collectively. “Like Bam, we believed he would develop into a dependable All-Star, but he fluctuated. Tyler Herro is perhaps the only consistent player they have.

Garnett stated that the Heat must relieve Jimmy Butler of more responsibility, particularly during the postseason. Before being defeated by the Boston Celtics in the conference finals last year, Butler averaged 27.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in each game.

Garnett remarked, “They used to be renowned as a defensive team that could score the ball. I’m still trying to figure out who they are because they don’t have an identity, as you said, Jimmy Butler. “So what? I’m supposed to wait for 82 games to see if Jimmy Butler will give me something like some 36s, some 40s, some 45s? He doesn’t even look like he has that type of energy to do some s— like that.”
