Indiana Pacers Myles Turner: a player the Miami Heat may have had

November 25, 2022

Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers had one of his greatest games of the year against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, scoring 31 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and committing four thefts.

NBA fans also made some noise in response to Turner’s slam against Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels.

Turner leads the league with an 18.4 point, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.8 block average.

It’s challenging for Heat supporters not to consider what they might have had with Turner. He was allegedly a trade target for the team over the summer, but nothing came of it. After the team’s defeat to the Pacers, some asked for Turner to go to Miami.

The following night, against the Washington Wizards, heat forward Caleb Martin played his most significant game of the year. Martin’s most recent game, though, is an outlier. His averages are only 10.4 points, five rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Additionally, Turner would bring additional size to the starting lineup, which many fans desire.

Turner might switch to the center position, allowing Bam Adebayo to advance with more force. Miami would then have a big player at the five who can score.

Erik Spoelstra, the coach, is happy to have Martin in the starting lineup despite rumors to the contrary. After the Heat defeated the Wizards, he commended Martin’s effort.

Spoelstra said that Caleb “was pretty good down the stretch on both sides of the court.” He’s turning into a standout, winning, successful basketball player. He performs many things that are obvious if he gets a score of 24, but he also does many other things that are not apparent from the box score.
