Ahead of their matchup against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the Miami Heat have made a roster move, assigning Orlando Robinson to the G League’s Sioux Falls. This decision comes after a 129-126 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday in Ohio.
Robinson, who delivered an impressive performance with 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, one block, and two steals during the Cavaliers game, will be gaining valuable playing time in the G League. The Heat also announced the return of Cole Swider and Jamal Cain from Sioux Falls.
Robinson showcased his skills in the four games he played this season, averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, boasting a 55.6% field goal percentage. Last season, the 23-year-old contributed to 37 regular-season games for the Heat.
As the Heat stands at 10-5 in their first 15 games, securing the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, they are currently on a two-game winning streak and an impressive 9-1 record in their last ten games. On the road, they hold a 6-4 record, while their home games in Miami, Florida, have seen them victorious in four out of five matches.
The Heat’s strong performance last season led them to the NBA Finals for the second time in the previous four years.
