Heat’s Jamaree Bouyea signed a 10-day contract

The Miami Heat’s front office remained busy despite no game on Tuesday.

Dewayne Dedmon was in his third season with the organization and was dealt to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Heat freed up a roster spot by receiving money from the Spurs (and not any players in return).

Jamaree Bouyea, a 23-year-old guard, has been signed to a ten-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, who made the announcement late last night.

Miami might be searching for guard insurance, given that Kyle Lowry is dealing with a knee problem. Although Bouyea has been producing some outstanding numbers in the G League, there is no assurance he will play in Miami. He is anticipated to play against Indiana on Wednesday, though.

Bouyea played five seasons of collegiate basketball for San Francisco before being overlooked in this past summer’s NBA Draft.

He participated in the Heat’s Summer League team and their G League affiliate.

As a result, even though he wasn’t playing in the NBA, they had him around the organization the entire year.

The Heat will host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night in Florida for their next game.

They have a 29-25 record in 54 games, which ties them with the New York Knicks for sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Heat have a 5-5 record over their previous ten games, and they are currently amid a two-game losing skid.

They have a remarkable 17-9 record in 26 games at home.
