Mychal Mulder, who played a career-high 60 games with the Golden State Warriors in 2021, is “in the process of committing to an Exhibit 10 deal,” according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald on Sunday.
After defeating the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies, the Miami Heat improved to 2-1 in the preseason (their one loss came against the Minnesota Timberwolves).
Teams throughout the league change their rosters a lot as the season starts.
As of Sunday morning, the Heat are “in the process of signing Mychal Mulder to an Exhibit 10 deal,” according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald (via Hoops Rumors).
Mychal Mulder concluded the previous season on a two-way contract with the Heat and played for the Heat in the summer league; thus, one of the other Exhibit 10 players on the Heat’s camp roster will need to be cut to make place, according to Chiang.
He participated in two games for the Heat and fifteen for the Orlando Magic last year.
On a 31.2% field goal percentage, the former Kentucky Wildcat averaged 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.
He had a stellar season in the G League and averaged 16.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists throughout 13 games while shooting 48.4% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range.
He is 28 years old, and the Golden State Warriors were where he spent the most successful periods of his NBA career in 2020 and 2021.
He participated in seven games in 2020, scoring an average of 11.0 points per game, and played in a career-high 60 games in 2021, scoring 5.6 points per game.
He is re-joining the Heat on an Exhibit 10-deal; thus, he is expected to play for their G League affiliate.
On Oct. 19, the Heat will meet the Chicago Bulls in Florida for the start of the 2022–23 NBA regular season.
