Jamaree Bouyea Early life & High school career

Bouyea plays basketball at the Palma School in Salinas, California. He averaged 18 points and led their team to the Division IV state championship as a junior. In his senior season, he averaged 6.1 assists and 19.1 points. Bouyea became the first player in 18 consecutive seasons to be named the Monterey Herald’s Player of the Year. He was lightly recruited and considered for fifth grade at the prep school. He accepted an invitation from San Francisco, the only NCAA Division I program that offered him a basketball scholarship.

College career

As a freshman in San Francisco, Buea averaged 2.5 points and shot 32.7 percent from the field. In his sophomore season, he averaged 3.3 rebounds and 6.2 points. He became a regular starter in his junior year, averaging 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists, and was selected to the All West Coast Conference (WCC) honorable mention. On November 27, 2020, Buea led San Francisco to a 61-60 upset victory over fourth-ranked Virginia, with 19 points and 6 assists. On February 18, 2021, he scored a career-high 33 points in a 68-63 loss to Loyola Marymount. [9] In his senior year, Buyea averaged 17.3 points, 3.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds, and won the honor of the WCC best team first team. He chose to return to college in his fifth season. Bouyea will be named to the WCC First Team again in 2022. On March 17, 2022, Boyea scored a career-high 36 points in San Francisco’s 92-87 overtime loss to Murray State in the 1st round of the Tournament of NCAA.
