Darius Days High school career
Days was a freshman at Williston High School in Williston, Florida, where he played on the college football team. During his sophomore season, he transferred to Rock School in Gainesville, Florida, to focus on basketball. He averaged 10 rebounds and 21 points per game during a junior, earning the Gainesville Sun Elementary School Co-op Player of the Year honor. He spent his senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. With invitations from North Carolina, Louisville, Ohio State and Xavier, Days committed to playing college basketball for LSU.
College life
As a freshman at LSU, Dyce averaged 5.3 points and 4 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game. In his second year, he made the starting lineup. On January 8, 2020, Days had 16 points and 16 rebounds in a 79-77 win over Arkansas. As a sophomore, he averaged 6.8 rebounds and 11.1 points. The day to declare for the 2020 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name and returning to college. He made his junior season debut on November 26, 2020, scoring 24 points in a 94-81 win over SIU Edwardsville. Dyce missed a game with a sprained ankle. During his junior, he averaged 11.6 points and a team leading 7.8 rebounds per game. After the season, Days declared for the 2021 NBA draft. However, he opted out of the draft and returned to LSU. Days was named to the SEC’s second team as a senior. He averaged 7.8 rebounds and 13.7 points per game.
